ONE UNIVERSAL TESTICLE

I just discovered this, Devin is talking to the mom of some dude on the phone in the beginning.

We all know how much Steven Wilson loves trains

But Devin seems to love them too.

Trainfire.

“Train wont stop, it’s never gonna stop”.

Juular travels on a train.

Trains and Mountains, of course.

And infinity.

So I think I’ll be able to play tf2 again in a laptop

I prefer to play on my desktop pc but it’s not that bad for some tf2 time. I need that shit to release some stress.

[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]

The Devin Townsend Project

10000days1138:

The four-part journey that encompasses the most recent work of musical genius Devin Townsend, THE DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT.

KI: We are born. The life energy that defines and actualizes us comes with no answers of our true purpose. Behind every tree is a villain. Behind every answer is a question. Can we ever know? Is it our place to ask? Who are we? Why are we afraid? If this is life, what is death? Is the acquisition of power and control over ourselves just a cloak for fear or mortality? As we are born, what defines us?

ADDICTED: What we find comfort in “defines” us. Through pain, suffering, sorrow, joy, death, life, war or remorse, etc. We find solace in the familiar, it becomes a metaphor for God. Our drugs, be them sex, alcohol, fear, control, anger, or anything else becomes what we define ourselves as. Over time it becomes our identity until we have more of our personality invested in the material elements of ‘us’ than the acknowledgement of what our true nature is. Is our true nature evil or divine? Is it both? Do the choices we make define us?

DECONSTRUCTION: Shed the addictions. Purge it all, go through it. Question it. Question ourselves, each other, religion, money, sex, music, everything. What’s underneath it all. Is the need to know yet another addiction? And when confronted with the reality of what your addictions mask and cover, was it really ever important at all? If life is to find peace and happiness, does it mean it is all futile when the root of it is trauma? Is that search ultimately futile… or hilarious? …and through the drama, is it actually necessary as well? A right of passage which leads you to the beginning again, yet able to connect with it by seeing what the options were?

GHOST: Our true nature is separate from what our identities become. The ghosts of our addictions in many ways still define our art. And surrender to the infinite within and acceptance of our own nature brings peace in heavy moments. Faith by nature is undefinable, yet it is tested in the hard times much more than the good. Have faith that you are divine, you are perfect, and you are beautiful.

Posted a while ago, but it wouldn’t let me reblog to this blog. From the book in the “Contain Us” box set.
